Dr. Lise Jans is Associate Professor Social-Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen. Her research focuses on the development of a shared identity and participation in collective pro-climate action, specifically 'community energy initiatives' (CEI's) throughout Europe. She shows that the climate transition can be fostered by these (bottom-up) local pro-climate initiatives, as those initiatives can also, in turn, influence the behavior of individuals.
