dr N. (Namkje) Koudenburg
Summary of research
Namkje Koudenburg is Associate Professor at University of Groningen. As a social psychologist, she is interested in group dynamics and communication, and specifically on the question how everyday communications may work to catalyze polarization and social change. Recently, she received early career awards from the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).
During her PhD, she specialized in how conversational dynamics affect social processes, such as belonging and validation. In addition, she was also interested in voters perceptions of non-voters in terms of group inclusion or exclusion. For this dissertation she received several awards, including the Wierenga-Rengerink Prize and the ASPO-Best Dissertation Award, both in 2014.
