Dr. A (Annalisa) Costella
Biography
Dr. Annalisa Costella is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Philosophy at the Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam. Her advisor is Jan Willem Wieland.
She works at the intersection of ethics, rational choice, and political philosophy. She is also interested in philosophy of economics and, more generally, anything that crosses her philosophical desk.
Previously, she was a PhD student in Philosophy at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Erasmus University Institute for Philosophy and Economics (EIPE) under the supervision of Constanze Binder and Conrad Heilmann. In October 2024, she successfully defended her thesis "On Having, and Making, Choices" (cum laude).
Before her PhD, she obtained a Research Master at EIPE, an Msc in Philosophy of the Social Sciences at the London School of Economics, and a Bsc in Economics at Bocconi University.
