On Tuesday, December 17, 2019, Bas van Bavel will hold a public lecture in Groningen about Markets, inequality and well-being: new historical approaches.
Recently it was announced that Bas van Bavel won the Spinoza prize. On October 2, 2019, was the official ceremony in the Hague, where the prize, symbolized by a small bronze statue of Spinoza, was given to Bas van Bavel and the other 5 winners.
The NWO Spinoza Prize of 2.5 million euros is the highest award in Dutch science.
