Congratulations are in order for Dr. Ewout Hasken, SCOOP's newest PhD graduate! Ewout's research focused on studying the definition of family businesses in the Netherlands, from 1945-2019, and examined the political and societal implications based on this definition. One important finding is the fact that the term 'family business' is used as an instrument used to achieve political goals, as it lacks a general, shared definition.
