From 28-30 August 2019, the first SCOOP conference 'Perspectives on sustainable cooperation' took place in Leusden, at the location of ISVW. The conference was a success, with about 65 people from the SCOOP community, guest speakers and guests. For the PhDs, three master classes were organised with Andreas Diekmann (ETH Zurich), Colin Leach (Columbia University) and Joel Mokyr (Northwestern University), and these professors also gave a lecture during the conference. After the opening on 28 August, by chairman of SCOOP Naomi Ellemers, Joel Mokyr gave the key note lecture on Mixed Economies and the Rise of the Welfare State. On 29 August the guest speaker was Prof. Dr. Pauline Westerman of the University of Groningen, on 30 August Prof. Dr. Ton Wilthagen of Tilburg University.
